Chapter IX

Centre Du Québec

Chapter's history

All began in 1983, when Gerry Savoie was approached to join Blue Knights Club Qué. I.  He filled his membership application and was a member of this chapter for one year.

During that year, 5 members from the chapter, who were all living on the south shore of Montreal, decided to create a new Chapter in Longueuil and Qué VI was born in 1984. Those 5 members were

Gerry Savoie  Military Police

Claude Jobidon  Military Police

Claude St-Jacques  Military Police

Denis Sénécal  Boucherville Municipal Police

Pierre Champagne  D.O.T. (departement of transport)

Gerry Savoie has been an active member with that Chapter for 7 years. Then, life circumstances forced him to desist his moto. So, no bike, no rights to be a member anymore, he had to quit.  In 2003, he bought a new motocycle and joined again Blue Knights Club Qué VI, in which he was an active member for another 5 years.  As he is now living in Drummondville and du to the fact Chapter VI was a little far (100km) from home, he began making plans to create a new Chapter in his area.

In August 2007, he made a round of each police stations, RCMP and correctional establishments from Drummondville and the neighbourhood. The date for the first meeting was settled for Sept. 10,2007. He succeeded in having 10 new members to create his new Chapter which is Blue Knights Qué IX.

Serge Fournier (Qué IV) presided the elections and we want to thank him for his precious advises.

That's the way, Chapter IX Centre Du Québec, was created.

(This is a small step for our Chapter, but a big step for the Organisation)
